A taste of things to come. The Queensbridge Building signals a return to the real, where buildings are striving to find a new authentic materiality and craft is reestablished in every detail. It marks the beginning of a new architectural and cultural direction for Southbank, one that aims to reclaim public space in the city. We’re proud to present a new suite of imagery produced by Peter Marko that captures this shift. It’s rare to see the city framed through a truly fresh lens, but we think Peter Marko gets it exactly right. Atmospheric, grounded, and honest, these images present a new way of seeing the urban wilderness.

With The Queensbridge Building nearing completion, we’d like to take this opportunity to revisit the underpark, beneath the Kings Way overpass, imagined by ourselves. Our concept for the 10,000 m² site was to provide lost Roman infrastructure in the urban wilderness - robust, enduring, inspired by ancient systems, but made for today’s Melbourne.
