Slattery Office began with unpacking where they started, where they are now and what they will become in the future.
Slattery has evolved and matured over the existence of the company’s life into a nationwide business. They are aiming to evolve their company model where they will offer more advisory services and outsource a lot of the grunt work. This meant that we needed to create an office which accommodates for this future transition.
Aesthetically for their new office, we sought to build on this by also reflecting the company’s growth through designing an interior that represents maturity and accomplishment. Therefore, you can see the integration of darker timbers, natural stones and upholstery make their way into the future Slattery identity which adds an additional layer of sophistication to the office character.
Enhancing wellness is a big design driver, explored through colour therapy, biophilic design principals and technology integration.
At an operational level, Slattery is set up with a series of directors which lead teams of around 6-9 people. These small teams operate as individual cells which run a portfolio of jobs. One of the main aspects of the brief was to accommodate for these teams, allow for collaboration between the team members and respond to an increase in virtual meetings as a result of the pandemic.
The aspect of working from home has also become a normality due to the effects of the pandemic. Creating a space which encourages staff to come back into work was a high priority. This meant we needed to be providing more than what employees can get in their home office and a place which is desirable to be in.
